RIU Hotels and Resorts Receives International Award for Risk Management Excellence Given by MAPFRE Global Risks

admin | 11/06/2019

Within the framework of the International MAPFRE Global Risks Seminar in Salamanca, the Chairman, Francisco J. Marco, and Bosco Francoy, CEO of the Unit, presented and gave out the International Risk Management Excellence Award to RIU Hotels & Resorts.

The award, which was collected by Rafael Fau, RIU’s Risk Management VP, is given to the client who did the best work to encourage policies and culture supporting insurable risk management, prevention, and protection.

Fau underscored the impressive involvement of the entire company in Risk Management, as well as in the Riu family and among the Managing Directors.

“This support is demonstrated, for example, by the 2002 creation of the Insurance Department, which depends directly on the Managing Directors and is comprised of a team of three people exclusively dedicated to it,” underscored Fau.

We share the interviews with Rafael Fau and MAPFRE Global Risks president, Francisco J. Marco, about the importance of the Award and the contribution of forums such as this International Seminar.
