Chris Smith, CRMO International at MAPFRE Global Risks Unit, gave an interview to the Commercial Risks Europe magazine: MAPFRE maintain its continued expansion outside Spain

admin | 18/01/2018

In dialogue with Commercial Risks Europe magazine, Chris Smith, CRMO International at MAPFRE Global Risks, explained that despite the challenges faced during 2017 and the complex conditions present in the market, the company will maintain its push towards becoming a lead player in the corporate insurance sector in Europe, without rash moves, following the same measured approach.

Regarding the strategy for 2018, he indicated that no big changes are expected, and said that 2017 was a difficult year for both our organization and many companies in the sector, not only because of the losses due to major disasters, but also because insurers faced a complex financial market situation. However, he pointed out that MAPFRE Global Risks was ready to respond, and that is what truly proves its differential value in difficult times.

Additionally, Smith referred to the importance of the quality of service in such a competitive market and commented: “Experience shows that, initially, customers come to us because of our experience, knowledge, flexibility and responsiveness. But we only retain them if we deliver. ”
