Elena Sanz, Corporate General Manager at MAPFRE, who moderated the roundtable discussion on “Companies’ commitment to a sustainable world” gave a video interview in which she highlighted that all the markets in which MAPFRE operates are seeking to contribute to a more balanced and sustainable society through business, always supporting customers in any change that this transition requires.

She also highlighted the social commitments of the new strategic sustainability plan that MAPFRE has just presented for the 2022–2024 period, such as the reduction of any gaps arising from gender diversity, promoting financial literacy in society and other aspects that we share in this video.

Lourdes Ripoll, Sustainability VP at Meliá, who also participated in this roundtable, explained the initiatives that are being carried out by the Meliá Group in terms of sustainability and highlighted those which she considers to have a greater impact in reducing its carbon footprint. On the other hand, she emphasized the criteria that society and new generations are beginning to value when choosing the Meliá Group, not only for vacations, but also as a place to work, thanks to the efforts undertaken.

Carlos Ruiz, Director of Sustainability and Risk at ENAGAS, explained the 3 lines of action the company has established with the aim of becoming carbon neutral by 2040 and how investors, shareholders, regulators and employees value the effort that a company like ENAGAS is taking to achieve these commitments.
