MAPFRE Global Risks takes part in the annual general meeting of the IUAI in Tokyo

Cristina Quintero, appointed member of the Executive Committee of the IUAI (International Union of Aerospace Insurers).

IUAI, the International Union of Aerospace Insurers, held its Annual General Meeting from 3—6 June in Tokyo. Attending the meeting was Paola Serrano, Director of Aviation and Transport, and Cristina Quintero, Head of Underwriting Space and Major Aviation Risks for MAPFRE Global Risks.

During the meeting, and as a result of her active participation over the last eight years as part of the General Aviation working group, Cristina Quintero was appointed as a member of the Executive Committee of the IUAI.

 

The IUAI, which consists of more than 60 associated aviation insurance companies, represents the interests of its members  in dealings with governments, institutions and national and  international associations as well as promoting, educating and offering it services to the global aerospace insurance industry. MAPFRE has been a member of the IUAI since 1981.

This year’s AGM dealt with the topics of most concern to the sector including, among others, underwriting challenges in New Space, drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), emerging risks, trends in aviation security and initiatives for managing cyber risks in the aerospace industry.
