Mapfre Global Risks participated once again in FERMA Forum 2026, the main European meeting of risk and insurance management professionals, held in Rotterdam from October 4 to 6. The event has brought together more than 3,000 delegates from all over Europe and has once again established itself as a key event for knowledge sharing, networking, and the development of business opportunities.
Mapfre Global Risks has been represented by Álvaro Núñez, José Antonio Ruibal, Julien San Quirce, David Corredor, Julián Rojo, Fernando Gómez, Cristina Peral, Patricia López Gálvez, and Sergio Alcaide, belonging to the Business Development, Underwriting, and Marketing and Communication areas.
One of the aspects most valued by customers and brokers has been the sales organization of Mapfre Global Risks, designed to be closer to the European market and develop opportunities in a coordinated manner. Additionally, the capabilities in specialty lines, the experience in captives , and the company’s differential position in Latin America strengthen the global value proposition for large international corporations.
Stand 79 of Mapfre Global Risks has also become a meeting place for customers, brokers, and professionals in the sector. Among the most notable moments was the traditional Spanish wine and the drawing of an official Spanish football T-shirt signed by the 2026 World Cup champions. For this event, we have had a very special lucky hand: Lourent Nihoul, CEO of FERMA, who has drawn the winning paper with the name Yves Delcommene, Head os Insurance at Aperam, a multinational dedicated to the production, transformation, and distribution of stainless steel, electrical steels, and special alloys.
This initiative, together with the large team present there, has helped create a close atmosphere and strengthen the ties with the different stakeholders. A very complete and positive edition, excellently organized, which leaves important expectations for new business and, above all, a lot of work ahead. We want to give a special mention to Paco Garrido from the Marketing team in Spain, for his support with the sponsorship of the Spanish Football Team.
These meetings confirm the growing interest of the market in a value proposition that goes beyond capacity and price, based on specialization, proximity, and long-term relationship building.
