Closing Ceremony of the V edition of the “Promociona” Project

Paola Serrano has participated in the event along with the other women members of the project, promoted by the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE)

The V edition of the “Promociona” Project, developed over the last few months, has been officially closed on July 12 in a ceremony that took place at the head office of the CEOE in Madrid.

Paola Serrano, Director of Aviation and Transport of MAPFRE Global Risks, was present at the event along with the rest of the women participating in the Project, seven of whom represent, from different areas, the MAPFRE group.

“Promociona” is an initiative that aims to strengthen and develop the skills and professional capabilities and leadership of highly qualified women. This program is promoted by the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) and also has the support of the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality. The project seeks, at the same time, to promote equal opportunities in companies and also aims to identify, retain and promote female talent. The initiative has counted during its five editions with 437 participants and, of them, 42% have already been promoted within their companies, something that the organizers of the project consider “a great achievement”.

In her speech, Begoña Suarez, deputy director of Entrepreneurship and Professional Promotion of Women of the Institute for Women and Equal Opportunities, appealed to the responsibility now held by the participants to make other women reach positions of responsibility. In fact, the “Promociona” managers identify also female talent in their organization or in their work environment acting as driving forces that drive other women to achieve high professional challenges with great results for companies, thereby shortening the times of diversity and equality at the top.

In addition to the participants in the Project, the event was attended by their mentors and representatives of different Spanish companies.
