MAPFRE Global Risks´ mission is to provide integral solutions to its corporate clients worldwide. We are a Unit within the MAPFRE Group which, despite market difficulties, has doubled in size over the last few years. The MAPFRE Group employs over 37,000 people and has more than 27 million clients worldwide. In 2015, the Group returned a net profit of 709 Million Euros with a total income of approximately 26,700 Million Euros.
In MAPFRE Global Risks we make permanent risk analysis in order to optimize capital consumption and we employ the necessary resources to respond to our commitment to clients arising from the underwriting of Multinational Insurance Programmes.
The constant objective of long-term profitability, prudent policies for financial investments, capitalization of profits and continuous control on expenses have put us into a clear position of leadership in the global hispanic insurances business. We can operate in over 100 countries worldwide.
We are market leaders in Spain and Latin America and aim to get closer to clients in Europe where we already have three branches: London, Paris and Cologne, and a representative office in Milan. The MAPFRE Global Risks Unit´s strategic map contains a series of actions directed at developing the business with European clients and positioning the company as an operator of reference. We develop solid long-term relationships with our clients, accompanying them in their international expansion, creating relationships of confidence.
Our financial strength is reflected in the ratings issued by the rating agencies. We have an ‘A' Excellent rating from the American credit risk agency, AM Best, an ‘A’ rating from Standard & Poor’s - both with stable outlooks - and 'A3', stable outlook from Moody’s. To maintain these ratings for the different markets in which we operate and for our clients is our main challenge.
